The Flycatcher
To describe my lifelong fascination with flight and with creatures that fly I like to echo the words of John James Audubon who in 1839 wrote of himself as "...one who never can cease to admire and to study with zeal and the most heartfelt reverence, the wonderful productions of an Almighty Creator."

dear floyd I wanted to know if I would be able to print the bird picters. Thank you for showing me the violet green swallow. I think the violet green swallow is very pretty. Some times I see a beautiful hawk it lands on a big mountian of dirt and looks for snakes and mice in a field. and I also see the same hawk in its great, big, beautiful nest. It also perches on a branch above its nest. I hope you have fun in hawaii. I am going to hawaii in november to visit my grandma.
Sarah, you are welcome to print any of my pictures. I'm in Honolulu now, but unfortunately there are only a few birds to be seen here, and they are mostly non-native species that have been introduced here by people who did not understand that the native species are usually crowded out by the newcomers. I will have to get up into the high forest on the mountains to see many native species here.
