Cedar Waxwing season

In the Willamette Valley at this time of the year, many people (and not only birders) notice the presence of Cedar Waxwings, often in flocks of a dozen or two. If there is a holly tree with bright red berries in your neighborhood, there's a good chance you will hear their high-pitched squeaky notes emanating from the tree, even before you see the birds. Today, they are just outside my office window.
