Rainy day birds

On this rainy afternoon I decided to watch what was happening in the world of birds in my community.  The weather did not seem to be slowing down the food-gathering activities of either the Red-tailed Hawks out in the farmland, or of the Black-capped Chickadees in my back yard. 

This Red-shafted Flicker might have been looking at the withered apples in this tree along the road.
