The Flycatcher
To describe my lifelong fascination with flight and with creatures that fly I like to echo the words of John James Audubon who in 1839 wrote of himself as "...one who never can cease to admire and to study with zeal and the most heartfelt reverence, the wonderful productions of an Almighty Creator."

Peregrine Falcon, banded maybe?
Today, which happens to be my birthday, I came out of my office at lunchtime and noticed three Crows scolding a Peregrine Falcon which was perched in the Black Walnut tree directly above my office. Against a bright cloudy sky, it was difficult to photograph, but here is what I got. In the bottom photo I think I might see a band on the left leg. Do you think so?
