Falcon on assignment

This falcon is a female Peregrine/Gyrfalcon cross, and is on duty near McMinnville, Oregon, "hired" to reduce the numbers of gulls and other species of birds that are scavenging on a nearby landfill. The instrument attached to her leg is a radio transmitter with which to communicate with her falconer manager.
